I don't have a T.V. up here in Colrain so I don't get a chance to watch Joan of Arcadia.
However I believe the premise is that the main character has all kinds of encounters with
people in all walks of life who are God. And I think that it is a good model
for us as we go through our daily lives that we may be encountering various manifestations
of God as we meet people or hear about people.
So God is a retired general. God is a war time president. God is an Army of One. God is
a black woman with AIDS. God is a queer. God is in a retirement home with no visitors.
God is the girl next door. God is a radical Muslim cleric. And on and on. God is everything.
And everything is everything ...
B'Shalom,
