I thought it was a good quote when John Kerry, at the Democratic convention said something
like, "Let's not ask if God's on our side, let's ask if we're on God's side."
My cousin reminded me that it was Abraham Lincoln who first said that.

Then I saw a recording of Richard Nixon speaking at a Republican convention in 1972 and
he said the same thing. So Kerry and Nixon both ... very interesting ...

As I was listening to Nixon speak I thought to myself, "If this is a Republican I'll take it."
He actually sounded like a real statesman and he almost sounded progressive.

This Bush administration is something else. Some other more radical right wing breed
and I don't like it.
